About the Company: ETS Within Bulgaria's Euroins Insurance Group
ETS (full legal name PRAT “European Travel Insurance”) has operated on the Ukrainian market since 2006 and offers travel insurance. Since 2018 it has been part of Bulgaria's Euroins Insurance Group, which belongs to the financial holding Eurohold Bulgaria. For someone choosing an insurer for a visa policy, that is additional background on the company and the group it belongs to. It does not affect whether the policy is accepted for a visa: what matters is that the policy meets the requirements (sum insured, the insurer's accreditation, validity dates), and every accredited insurer meets the EUR 30,000 minimum equally. So it makes sense to choose between them by price, program terms, and ease of purchase. The company's official site, eurotravelins.com.ua, lists its products and contact details.
What the policy covers, how long it's valid, and how to buy it
What an ETS policy actually pays for is urgent medical treatment, emergency hospitalization, repatriation, and death, backed by a minimum EUR 30,000 sum insured and a round-the-clock assistance line. For a Schengen type C visa, that requirement comes from Article 15 of the EU Visa Code (Regulation (EC) No 810/2009); for a national type D visa, the same EUR 30,000 figure comes from Poland's own Act on Foreigners (Ustawa o cudzoziemcach). The policy is valid for the full length of the visa applied for, up to one year.
The same homepage calculator issues an ETS policy too, once you've filled in destination country, travel dates, date of birth, and purpose of travel and chosen ETS from the insurers on the list; paying online finishes the purchase. If a karta pobytu policy is what you actually need rather than visa insurance, keep in mind ETS doesn't offer that program in our calculator; only Kniazha does (set your location to “I'm abroad” there, then manually pick Kniazha from the narrowed list). Our dedicated karta pobytu insurance page explains that difference in full.
